Recovery Update: Servers and Data Returning, New Locations Coming

On September 23, 2026, both of our data centers in Kyiv were damaged in Russian missile strikes. Since then, the VSYS Host team has been working every day to restore services, recover client data and prepare a safe and stable path forward. Here is where things stand today.
Services and data recovery
Many of our clients’ servers are already back online and fully restored as services in Ukraine, so they can be used just as before. At this stage, they run on a temporary solution, and once our new secure location is ready, we will offer these clients a seamless move there.
For clients who chose to receive their data, more than half have already received it. Our engineers continue to inspect drives, restore servers and return data to its owners step by step.
For clients who chose to move to our other locations, more than 80% have already received their replacement servers there. We’re continuing to arrange replacements for the remaining clients and will keep each of them updated in their tickets.
Over the coming week, we plan to restore services or return data to most of the remaining clients. Large storage servers are the exception: because of the volume of data they hold, their recovery requires more time and particular care. Each client with a storage server will receive updates directly in their support ticket.
Billing
All days of downtime are added to the billing period of affected services at no additional cost. In addition, every affected client receives a free backup storage service for 3 months together with the restoration of their service.
Relaunch of orders
Servers in our existing locations (the Netherlands, Canada) are already in stock and available to order, and we continue to replenish our stock.
We are also preparing to open orders in our new secure location in Ukraine and our new location in Warsaw. Full details on the new locations will be announced on our website as soon as they become available.
